NATCHEZ — Memorial services for Edward J. Patton, 73, who died Friday, Jan. 29, 2016, in Natchez, will be announced at a later date.

Mr. Patton was born April 6, 1942, in Church Hill, Md.

He was a graduate of Jefferson Military College in Washington. He also served in the U.S. Air Force.

Mr. Patton was employed by the Natchez Police Department and Natchez Fire Department during the 1960s. He later became a tugboat captain along the Mississippi River.

Survivors include one son, Scott Patton; one grandson, Eric Patton; one granddaughter, Kayla Patton Anzivino; and three great-grandchildren, Brayden, Aubriana and Logan.
