CENTREVILLE — Services for James Donnell “Donnie” Packnett Sr., 61, of Centreville, who died Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Centreville with the L.C. Weatherspoon officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Packnett was born April 28, 1954, in Centreville, the son of James and Johnnie B. Packnett.

Mr. Packnett faithfully served in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents.

Survivors include his mother; one daughter, Alicia B. Packnett; one son, James Donnell Packnett Jr.; three brothers, Louis Packnett, Layvester Packnett and wife, Mable, and Lee Packnett and wife, Gayna; five sisters, Josephine Dunn and husband, Sim, Julia Collins and husband, Fulton, Yvonne Argue, Yelinda Packnett and Angela Packnett; five grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
