Mr. and Mrs. Joseph P. Thomas of Monterey announce the engagement of daughter, Katherine Alexandra Thomas to Robert Michael Ganey, son of Glenda Ganey and the late Michael Ganey of Wildsville, La.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Monterey High School and a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Monroe, La. She is employed by Verizon in West Monroe.

She is the granddaughter of Emma Corbett and the late Paul Corbett of St. Joseph, La., and Mickey Thomas and the late Elizabeth Edna Thomas of Ferriday.

The groom-to-be attended Block High School in Jonesville and is now attending the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

He is the grandson of Eddie Jones and the late Theresa Jones of Wildsville, La., and the late Seville and Evelyn Ganey of Trout, La.

The wedding will be 5 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, at Panola Woods Country Club in Ferriday.

A reception will immediately follow the ceremony at the country club.

Family and friends are invited to attend.
