ROXIE — Services for Edward Bunion Sanders, 65, of Roxie, who died Monday, Feb. 15, 2016, at his residence, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Roxie First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lamar Briggs officiating.

Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Sanders was born July 23, 1950, in Roxie, the son of Albert and Wadell Dixon Sanders.

He was a Mason.

Mr. Sanders was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, C.D. “Grip” Griffin, Daneal Sanders and Andrew Sanders.

Survivors include one son, Dexter E. Sanders and wife, Jasmine; five sisters, Rosemary Mason, Imogene Weathersby, Valerie “Doris” Norman, Shirley Hamilton and Margie McNair and husband, Shelly; five brothers, Herbert Griffin and wife, Carolyn, Albert N. Sanders, Charles H. Sanders and wife, Kim, James L. Sanders and wife, Katie, and Jimmy W. Sanders; one grandson, Dexter Maijer Edmund Sanders; lifelong companion, Rosie Lee Stewart; one goddaughter, Lanika Weathersby Ellis; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
