NATCHEZ — A celebration of life for Betty Faye Horn Roberts, 76, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, at her residence, will be 11 a.m. today at Parkway Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Brewer officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mrs. Roberts was born Aug. 25, 1939, in Jones County, the daughter of H.E. Horn and Gladys Atwood Horn.
She was a graduate of Washington High School. She married the love of her life, Alton Roberts.
Faye taught Sunday school and Awanas at Parkway Baptist and was an active member for a number of years. Her love of God was evident in the way she cared for and served others always. She was the perfect example of a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her mother; one sister, Jean Jones; three brothers, Ruport Horn, Lavon Horn and Raymond Horn; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, J.P. and Eunice Roberts; and one brother-in-law, Cecil Roberts.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Alton Roberts; three daughters, Angie Roberts, Brenna Saxton and Kristi Ketchings and husband, Greg; two beloved grandsons, Gregory and Kyle Ketchings; one great-grandson who was the apple of her eye, Olan Ketchings; and one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gerald and Sandra Horn.
Pallbearers will be Frank Rhinehart, Carl Roberts, Dan Moak, Charles Stephens, Greg Brown and Charles Harrigal.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gregory Ketchings and Kyle Ketchings.
The family request that memorials be made to Parkway Baptist Church.
