FERRIDAY — Services for Horbert Glenn Greene Sr., 84, of Jonesville, who died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, at Riverland Medical Center, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday with the Rev. Dennis Bignar officiating.

Burial will follow at Greene Family Cemetery in Monterey under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home .

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Greene was born Sept. 21, 1931, in Monterey, the son of Gile Greene and Sarah Rice Greene.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joyce Aliene Price Greene; one son, Thomas Allen Greene Sr.; three brothers, Gile “Junior” Greene, Pete Greene and Curtis Greene; and five sisters, Vera Greene, Judy Greene, Aliene Pecanty, Ferbia Russell and Inis Smith.

Survivors include two sons, Horbert Glenn Greene Jr. and wife, Patricia, of Vicksburg and Robert Dale Greene and companion, Juli Michaud, of Monterey; two daughters, Joyce Annette Perry of Jonesville and Janice Jeanette Warren and husband, T. Wes, of Lismore, La.; three sisters, Mary Grace Burley and Bobby Pecanty and husband, Norman Ray, all of Monterey and Inez Sturgeon and husband, Chuck, of Hattiesburg; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Thomas Warren II, Richard Steele, David Rowell, T.H. Greene and Jacob Perry and friend, Jimmy Ingram Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Brown and Kylar McNeely.
