NATCHEZ — Services for Melba Yvonne Olinde Wofford, 85, of Roxie, who died Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at her residence, will be announced at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wofford was born Oct. 10, 1930, in Pointe Coupee, La., the daughter of Joseph Olinde and Edmae Guidroy Olinde.

She was a homemaker most of her life.

Mrs. Wofford was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hillard Franklin Wofford Sr.; one son, Robert Mitchell Wofford; and two brothers, Lawrence and Willard Olinde.

Survivors include one son, Hillard Franklin Wofford Jr. of Roxie; one daughter, Joyce Yvonne Wofford Graves of Roxie; one sister, Shirley Olinde Ballard of Jarreau, La.; one daughter-in-law, Judy Ann Cedotal Wofford of Roxie; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
