NATCHEZ — Services for Myles J. Wright McGruder, 80, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Antioch Baptist Church wit the Rev. J.L. Hammitte officiating.

Burial will follow at Rowan Cemetery on Mississippi 84 under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. McGruder was born Dec. 11, 1935, in Natchez, the daughter of Lewis Wright and Mamie Collins Wright.

She was employed by Jefferson Davis Memorial Hospital. She was retired.

Mrs. McGruder was preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers; one sister; and two grandchildren.

Survivors include six children, Jessie Ware, Ardis Brice, Brenda Gaylor and husband, David, Robby Ware, Ricky McGruder and wife, Angie, and Keesa McGruder, all of Natchez; 11 grandchildren, Shan Franks and husband, Chris, Robert Brice Jr. and wife, Felecia, Keimon Brice, Ricky McGruder Jr., Davonda Gaylor, Darius McGruder, Damira McGruder, Dekaron McGruder, Ashley Jones, Travonntae Brice and Mason McGruder, all of Natchez; two sisters, Gladys Fleming of New York and Lillie Fleming of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
