Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Brown of Natchez announce the engagement of their daughter, Shannon Danielle Yelverton to James Gregory Gingell, son of Ms. Kimberly Gingell of Columbia.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Adams County Christian School in Natchez and a graduate of University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg. She is employed by Lamar County schools in Purvis.

She is the granddaughter of Janice Richardson, Grover Yelverton and Gordon and Judy Brown, all of Natchez, and Annie Braning and the late Ancil Braning of Pineville, La. She is also the great-granddaughter of Lily Yelverton and Mildred Brown of Natchez.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Columbia Academy and is also a graduate of University of Southern Mississippi. He is employed by Sanderson Farms in Collins.

He is the grandson of Bill and Sylvia Gingell and the late James L. and Landis Cook, all of Columbia.

The wedding will be at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, March 26, 2016, at The Barn at Bridlewood in Hattiesburg.
