HATTIESBURG — The Cathedral girls golf team placed second overall in a tournament hosted by Prentiss Christian School with a cumulative score of 109 at Shallow Ridge Golf Club in Hattiesburg.

Cathedral’s Kate Mayo shot a 53 and Liza Mayo scored a 56 to make up Cathedral’s total score. Kayla Star was Cathedral’s non-counting score with a 62.

Sumrall won the tournament thanks to a tournament-low 3-over, 38 score from Tristan Cooley.

Kate and Liza Mayo’s scores were the second- and third-lowest individual scores in the tournament. Star finished in a six-way tie for 10th place, individually.
