VIDALIA — Early voting for the April 9 general municipal elections in Concordia Parish begins Saturday.
On the ballot are run-offs for the mayor of Ferriday — between Mayor Gene Allen and challenger Sherri Jacobs — and Vidalia Alderman District 2, between Raymond Murray and Robert Gardner.
Early voting will be every day from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. through April 2, excluding Sunday.
“Early voting is a great way to conveniently cast your ballot on your schedule instead of having to fit it in on Election Day,” said Secretary of State Tom Schedler. “Saturdays are always busy for individuals and families, especially with Easter and Spring break. I am urging our state’s voters to think ahead and consider early voting now.”
Early voting is done in person at the parish Registrar of Voters Office in the Concordia Parish Courthouse.
