Marian Simmons Kaiser

NATCHEZ — Private, closed-casket graveside services for family members and relatives only of Marian Simmons Kaiser, 87, of Central, La., and formerly of Natchez, who died Friday, March 25, 2016, at her residence, will be Monday at the Natchez City Cemetery with her cousin Bryant Reed Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Mrs. Kaiser was born in June 1928 to Mollie Spencer Dorsey and Paul Reed Simmons Sr.
She attended Natchez High School, graduating with the class of 1946. She was a homemaker until she was an optician for 15 years. She was a member of Zoar Baptist Church in Central, and often attended First Baptist Church in Natchez. She loved when her family was all together and going to the beach. She was a loving and steadfast mother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Andrew Kaiser Jr.; her parents; and three brothers, Paul Reed Simmons Jr., Allen Breinard Simmons and William Duckett “Billy” Simmons.
Survivors include her children, Marian Louise Kaiser Sprouse, Clement “Clem” Joseph Kaiser and wife, Joyce, Lloyd Andrew “Jack” Kaiser III and wife, Calinda, Allene Clark Kaiser and Lois Anne “L.A” Kaiser Alford and husband, Randy; 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews other relatives and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association.
The family wishes to thank the many staff of St. Joseph’s Hospice for all of their help, care and prayers.
