VIDALIA — Memorial services for Carlton L. Cage, 63, of Natchez, who died Monday, March 28, 2016, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethel Church in Vidalia with the Rev. Troy Thomas Sr. officiating.
A private burial will be under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Mr. Cage was born Aug. 15, 1952, the son of Isreal Cage and Lorena Cage.
He was a 1972 graduate of Vidalia High School. He was employed by International Paper Company as a cross country truck driver.
Mr. Cage was baptized Oct. 11, 2009, at Bethel Church by Rev. Thomas and became a member.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, telling jokes, talking on the phone, watching cowboy and wrestling shows.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruby T. Cage; and his grandparents, Ezekiel and Ophelia Spriggs and Eddie and Sylvia Cage.
Survivors include one son, Christopher C. Cage of Natchez; one daughter, Stratton S. Cage of Houston; two sisters, Bonita Cage of Vidalia and Catherine C. Copper of Arlington, Texas; two brothers, Lonnie R. Cage and wife, Edna, and Billy W. Cage and wife, Pat, of Jackson; and special friends, Adell Davis and Mary L. Shepherd.
