Oct. 11, 1954 – March 30, 2016

NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Robert Louis McNeely Jr., 61, of Carrollton, Texas, and formerly of Natchez, who died Wednesday, March 30, 2016, in Carrollton, will be 1 p.m. Monday at the Natchez City Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Yerger officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mr. McNeely was born Oct. 11, 1954, in San Diego, Calif., the son of Robert Louis McNeely Sr. and Anesia Shemelina McNeely.

He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to travel. He was raised Eastern-Orthodox.

Mr. McNeely was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Clarice “Jerry” Parker McNeely; one step-daughter, Stepheny Parker of Carrollton; three sisters, Janet McNeely, Patricia Werner and husband, Dennis, all of Natchez, and Frances Harvey and husband, Charles, of Denton, Texas; one brother, Mark McNeely and wife, Laura, of Charlotte, N.C.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
