HUNT, Ark. — Graveside services for James C. “Sammy” Poole Jr., 67, of Altus, Ark., who died Saturday, April 2, 2016, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Liberty Hill Cemetery in Hunt, Ark., with the Rev. Joe Lancaster officiating.04:05 JamesCPooleJr. obitpic

Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home in Clarksville, Ark.

Mr. Poole was born Oct. 23, 1948, in Natchez, the son of James Poole Sr. and Willie Fay Smith Poole.

Sammy loved to be with his family. He loved the Beatles and working with his hands. He was a very talented, artistic, musical, and family loving Godly man ever known.

Mr. Poole was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Gayle Robson Poole.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Poole; two daughters, Angie Dye and husband, Eddie, of Hartman, Ark., and Jennifer Hickman and husband, Jerry, of Clarksville; two sons, Brandon McCartney and wife, Savannah, of Ozark, Ark., and Thomas Bankston of Altus; four grandchildren, Cody Dye, Anna Lea Perry and husband, Gary, Kaydance Bankston and Jace McCartney; two great-grandchildren, Sophie Rabb and Kynslea Perry; three brothers, Harold Poole and wife, Ann, of Natchez, Carroll Poole and wife, Linda, of Webb City, Mo., and Mike Poole of Church Hill; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be Cody Dye, Gary Perry, Brandon McCartney and Thomas Bankston.
