Ben and Kim Blackmon of Waterproof announce the engagement of their daughter, Brittany Logan Blackmon to Cade Allen Williams, son of Joseph “Bubba” and Rhonda Williams of Jonesville.

The bride-to-be is a 2009 graduate of Huntington High School and a graduate of Central Louisiana School of Dental Assistants in Alexandria, La. She is employed by Miss-Lou Family Dentistry in Ferriday.

She is the granddaughter of Lynn and Lola Patt and Benton and Bonnie Blackmon, all of Ferriday.

The groom-to-be is a 2007 graduate of Block High School in Jonesville and 2013 graduate of Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, La., where he received his bachelor of science degree in psychology. He also received an associates of science degree in respiratory therapy from Copiah-Lincoln Community College in 2015. He is employed by Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital as a registered respiratory therapist.

He is the grandson of Ed and Peggy Rutledge and Mary Jo Williams and the late Dean Edward Williams, all of Jonesville. He is the great-grandson of Badglee Harris of Jonesville.

The wedding will be at 6 p.m., Saturday, April 16, 2016, overlooking the Mississippi River at the Hotel Vue.

A reception will immediately follow the ceremony at The Gables in Vidalia.
