Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Huff of Gloster announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Renee Huff to William Calhoun Carter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Edward Carter of Vidalia.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of West Lincoln Attendance Center in Brookhaven and a graduate of the University of Mississippi in Oxford. She is employed by Silas Simmons, LLP, in Natchez.

She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alcus Huff of Gloster and Mr. Walter Ola Teel and the late Neva Teel of Ponchatoula, La.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Cathedral High School in Natchez and a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He is also employed by Silas Simmons, LLP, in Natchez.

He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Lambert of Rotunda West, Fla., the late Malcolm Carter of Natchez and the late Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Calhoun of Vidalia.

The wedding will be at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, May 28, 2016, at Brandon Hall Plantation in Natchez.
