NATCHEZ — Services for Henry M. “Mr. Henry” Sanders, 84, of Lake Concordia, who died Friday, April 22, 2016, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Ferriday, will be noon Monday at Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Nance Hixon officiating.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Laird Funeral Home and 11 a.m.  until time of service Monday at the church.

“Mr. Henry” was born August 21, 1931, in Buckeye, Texas, the son of Jesse W. Sanders and Lela Edna Keith Sanders.

He served in the U.S. Air Force in the Korean War. “Mr. Henry” went on to work for Baker Oil Tools on July 6, 1959, and retired from Baker Sept. 30, 1991. After 31 years of service, Baker called him back into service in 1994, and he retired again in 2003. He loved working so much, he went back to work for Delta Oil Tools in October 2003 and retired September 11, 2012. He was 81.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jesse “Bud” Sanders and his wife, Ida Bell Sanders; sister, Bernice Ramsay; and a son, Robert Allen Sanders.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; one daughter, Susan Marie; brother-in-law, James Humphrey and wife, Marie, and family; the Angel family, Carole and Allen, Alex, Adam, Auston and Aaron; the Anderson family, Jeannie, David, Haley-Erik; Mollie Echols and family; Jesse Harper Jones and family; and C.B. and Bart Jones and family.

Pallbearers will be Jack Cox, Bob Gray, Bill Burns, Jeff Ferguson, Jeffrey Ferguson, Michael Ferguson and Jody Nichols.

A special thank you to all of the staff at Heritage Manor and Camellia Hospice, “Jessie,” and four Special young men and their families: Jeff Ferguson, Jeffrey Ferguson, Michael Ferguson, and Jody Nichols.
