Mr. Whiskers burglarized Friday morning

NATCHEZ — Mr. Whiskers, a crawfish and outdoor furnishings business on U.S. 61 South, was allegedly burglarized in the early morning hours Friday.
Natchez police officer Tom Borum reported the owner, Winston May, believed the break-in to be an inside job because he sometimes leaves cash hidden behind the books, which only some employees know.
Nothing appeared to be disturbed in the business except for a few books on a shelf.
Nothing was reported stolen, but $500 of property damage was done breaking into the building by cutting the exterior material and knocking a hole in the interior wall to make entry.
Police reported the surveillance system was not working at the time.
No suspect had been identified when the police report was filed.
