BUDE — Visitation for William Smith, 89, of Roxie, who died Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at his residence, will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at Marshall Funeral Home Chapel in Bude.

Funeral services will be Saturday at Hopeful Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago with the Rev. Jerry Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow at Restville Cemetery in Chicago.

Mr. Smith was born Nov. 12, 1926, in Roxie, the son of Richard and Deater Washington Smith.

He was a bricklayer by trade and loved his family.
