LAUREL — Adams County Christian School’s Brody Cole and Sneh Patel each advanced to South State next with strong showings at the District 4-AAA meet Thursday at Jones County Junior College.

Brody Cole won the boys overall champion after winning two matches on the day.

The senior right-handed beat Rob Johnson of Brookhaven Academy 6-0, 6-1, then followed that up with a 6-3, 6-7, 10-4 win over Turner Hughes in the district tile match.

Sneh Patel, meanwhile, won his first match over Cathedral’s Rankin Reynolds 6-1, 6-1, but fell in his title match.

The South State meet takes place next week at JCJC.
