NATCHEZ — Natchez voters elected Darryl Grennell as the Democratic candidate to run against independent candidate Eric Junkin in June.

Unofficial results show that Grennell received 3,034 votes or 70.6 percent of the vote. Challenger Tony Fields received 1,261 votes or 29.4 percent of the vote.

The general election is June 7.
