CHICAGO — Services for Floyd Nathaniel Tyler Sr., 69, of Chicago, formerly of Cannonsburg, who died Wednesday, April 27, 2016, in Chicago, were Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at Gatlings Chapel in Chicago, with the Rev. Beado Harris officiating.
Mr. Tyler was born March 3, 1947, in Natchez, the son of John Tyler Sr. and Alicia Martin Tyler.

He was a 1965 graduate of Liddell High School in Fayette.
Mr. Tyler was employed by Oscar Mayer, Best Foods, Unilever and had obtained a number of licenses and certifications in electrical engineering and machinery. He attended Bethlehem Baptist Church in Cannonsburg in his youth. He was also a fan of Notre Dame and the Atlanta Hawks.
Mr. Tyler was preceded in death by his wife, Louella Harris Tyler; his parents; and three siblings, Henry Gooden, Geraldine Tyler Gooden and John Henry Tyler Sr.
Survivors include his fiancée, Erma Ewing; two sons, Floyd Tyler Jr. and Anthony Tyler and wife, Devonia; two daughters, Sadiya Muhammad and Toni Singer and husband, Mark; five brothers, Tom Tyler, Albert Tyler and wife, Carolyn, John Tyler Jr. and wife, Linda, Alfred Tyler and wife, Barbara, and Willie Tyler and wife, Loretta; and two sisters, Delores Tyler Reed and husband, David, and Lucy Ford.
