NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Hamilton Eugene Vines, 78, of Woodville, who died Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at his residence, will be 2 p.m. today at Wesberry Cemetery in Wilkinson County with the Rev. Lloyd Foreman officiating.
Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Mr. Vines was born March 7, 1938, in Wilkinson County, the son of Hamilton Hardwich Vines and Mildred Bunch Vines.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Richard Gilmore Vines; one sister, Mary Lee Vines Smith; and a stepson, Wesley Cavin.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Wesberry Vines; five stepchildren, Anna McKey and husband, L.V., of Centreville, Lorraine Cavin, Wiley “Bubba” Cavin, Glenn Cavin and wife, Cathy, all of Woodville, and Debbie Smith and husband, Ralph, of Lake St. John; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ross David Vines of Gonzales, La., and Maxie Vines of Woodville; three sisters, Leona Aileen Vines Walters of Pensacola, Fla., Jessie “Sissy” Vines Guillaume and Vivian Vines Moravsky, both of Baton Rouge; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
