NATCHEZ — Memorial services for Mary Elizabeth “Teeny” Haile Noble, 93, of Natchez, who died Saturday, May 14, 2016, at her residence, will be 2 p.m., Sunday, June 26, 2016, at Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. Walton Jones officiating.
Visitation will be from 1:15 p.m. until service time in Kuehnle Hall at the church.
Mrs. Noble was born April 27, 1923, on South Commerce Street in Natchez, the daughter of John Mumford Haile and Margaret Foster Haile.
She was a cradle-born member of Trinity Episcopal Church. She served on the Altar Guild, St. Hilda Guild, Guild of the Christ Child, the Episcopal Women’s Group and the Trinity Prayer Group.
Mrs. Noble was a member of the Pilgrimage Garden Club, Garden Club of America, the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Colonial Dames and the Order of the First Families of Mississippi. She graduated from Natchez public schools in 1941.
Mary Noble’s heavenly birthday occurred Saturday, May 14, in her home on South Commerce Street.
She was preceded in death by her childhood love and husband of 59 years, Cary L. Noble; her parents; and one son, Cary L. Noble Jr.
Survivors include one daughter, Delphine Noble Baucom and husband, David, of Kingwood, Texas; one grandson, Paul Harrison Kneedler of Dallas; one granddaughter, Cary Noble Kneedler of Houston; three great-grandchildren, Aliciana and Braden Kneedler and William Canada; cousins, Charles “Tom” Haile and wife, Karen, of Mandeville, La., and their children, Andrew, Brandon, Catlyn and John Griffin, and John Mumford Haile of Nipomo, Calif.; other family members, Mary Lou Knox and husband, Ned, of Charlotte, N.C., and their children, Valerie, Elise and Bo, William “Ken” Abbington and wife, Mary Mills, of Collierville, Tenn., and their children, Bill and John; and one brother-in-law, the Rev. Dr. James Phillips Noble of Atlanta and his children, Dr. Betty Noble and Phil Noble Jr.
The family extends a special thank you to her caregivers, friends and family who provided special care for her.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, Natchez-Adams County Humane Society or Compassionate Care Hospice.
