A second memorial service will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 28, 2016, at 218 Archie Woods Road in Campti, La.

Billy Coldiron was born Aug. 11, 1946, in Ferriday, the son of Hobby Coldiron and Jenanne Coldiron.

He grew up and completed high school in Ferriday. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1966. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, and his service on the USS Pawcatuck Navel Ship was a source of extreme pride for Billy. He was a longtime member of the Imperial Council of the Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine for North America.

He lived a godly life with a love for country, family, hunting and fishing.

Mr. Coldiron was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Cora Lynn Coldiron; one brother, Mike Coldiron; one sister, Memory Jean Britt; two stepsisters, Amber Griffin and Jessica Cason; one stepson, Jim Collier; and beloved grandchildren, nephews and friends.
