NATCHEZ — Services for Robert “Big Boy” Davis, 78, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at Glenburney Nursing Home, will be noon Sunday at Jerusalem Baptist Church with the Rev. Louis Selmon officiating. 

Burial will follow at Grove African Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the Natchez funeral home chapel and from 11 a.m. until service time Sunday at the church.

Mr. Davis was born July 10, 1937, in Adams County, the son of Tommie Davis Sr. and Alma Turner.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Louis and Georgia Davis; one daughter, Rochell Owens Jackson; three sisters, Martha Turner, Rossie Lee Davis Walker and Mamie Thornburg; and one brother, Jim Turner Jr.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Dorothy Jackson Davis; two daughters, Jacqueline Hawkins and husband, Irvin, and Tammy Davis; one son, Eric Davis, all of Natchez; one stepdaughter, Stephanie Stewart and husband, Derrick; one stepson, Cartrell Myles and wife, Chanel, all of Houston; three sisters; one brother; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
