NEWELLTON, La. — Graveside services for Julia Ann Harrell, 75, of Clayton, who died Monday, May 23, 2018, in Ferriday, will be at 10 a.m. today at Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton, La., with Dr. Ralph Webber and the Rev. Jerry Sharp officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Mrs. Harrell was born Aug. 28, 1940, in St. Joseph, the daughter of Allen Eugene Walker and Annie Regina Cupit Walker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Mary Anne Walker; two brothers, James Benjamin Walker and Paul Marshal Walker; and two sisters, Lanora Walker Pierce and Lena Mae Walker McAnnally.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, J.M. “Mike” Harrell; one son, Joseph Malcolm “Bill” Harrell and wife, Leslie, of Clayton; two daughters, Teri Lynn Terrell and husband, Mark, of Adolphus, Ky., and Cindy Rene Roberts and husband, Randy, of Clayton; four brothers, Allen Eugene Walker and wife, Mary, of Port Neches, Texas, Arnold Walker and wife, Betty, and Daniel Walker and wife, Barbara, all of West Monroe, La., and Charles Ray Walker and wife, Jan, of Farmerville, La.; six grandsons, Steve Terrell and wife, Bridget, Chris Harrell and wife, Sherry, Cody Roberts and wife, Katie, Blake Terrell and wife, Katie, Elijah Harrell and wife, Chelsea, and Joey Robert and wife, Emilee; five granddaughters, Calley Reed and husband, Danny, Jessica Semerci and husband, Huseyin, Paige Williams and husband, Chad, Micah Nelson and husband, Gabe, and Faith Marie Roberts; and 23 great-grandchildren, Kelsie and Josie Terrell, Tugra and Tugce Semerci, Raina Terrell, Josiah, Carlos, Yamilet, Isaac, Amaus, Camila, Salem and Chapel Reed, Taylor and Connor Paul, Levi, Timothy and Titus Harrell, Israel and Julia Nelson, Aubrey Harrell, Connor Roberts and Sadie Roberts.
