NATCHEZ — Services for Linda C. Hunter Floyd, 61, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at Baylor Heart Hospital in Plano, Texas, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Roderick Lewis officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.
Ms. Floyd was born Oct. 14, 1954, in Natchez, the daughter of Alfred Hunter Jr. and Marie C. Hunter.
She was a 1972 graduate of North Natchez High School.
She was employed by Natchez-Adams School District and was a member of New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church.
Ms. Floyd was preceded in death by her mother and one brother, Terrence D. Hunter Sr.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas P. Floyd III of Dallas and Bryan M. Floyd Sr. and wife, Shamitha, of Irving, Texas; four grandchildren, LeMichael K. Floyd of Natchez, Alexis Floyd, Sydney Floyd and Bryan M. Floyd Jr., all of Texas; her father; one brother, Donald Hunter and wife, Ethel, of Natchez; one sister, Subrina A. Tolliver and husband, Marvin, of Woodville; one godson, Cleveland Moore Jr. of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
