MONTEREY — Services for Robert R Campbell, 83, of Monterey, who died Tuesday, May 24, 2016, in Monterey, will be 10 a.m. Friday at Monterey Church of Christ with the Rev. Jason Sparks and the Rev. Clyde Grammon officiating.
Burial will follow at Flowery Mound Cemetery in Monterey, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the church.
Mr. Campbell was born May 11, 1933, in Monterey, the son of Bryan Campbell and Mary Stothard Campbell. He was a member of Monterey Church Of Christ.
Mr. Campbell proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was also a teacher and assistant principal with Concordia Parish for more than 30 years and was a farmer as well.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Bryan Kent Campbell.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Ann Crane Campbell; three sons, Robert R. “Bob” Campbell Jr. and wife, Becky, of Covington, La., Kim Campbell and wife, Gigi, of Monterey and Randy Campbell and wife, Donna, of Prospect, Ky.; six granddaughters, Olivia Campbell, Meghan Wilson and husband, Noah, Sarah Covington and husband, Guy, Hannah Taylor and husband, Brantley, Bailey Caldwell and husband, Derek, and Meredith Campbell; four grandsons, Rylan Campbell, Taylor Campbell and wife, Sarah, Samuel Campbell and Carter Campbell; one great-grandson, Brann Wilson; three great-granddaughters, Ada Taylor, Molly Wilson and Madison Covington; and one sister, Sarah Reeves of Monterey.
Pallbearers will be Rylan Campbell, Taylor Campbell, Samuel Campbell, Carter Campbell, Noah Wilson, Elliot Britt, Carl Pecanty and Kent Campbell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brantley Taylor, Paul Avery, Jack Bairnsfather, Robin Bullock and Chester Reeves.
