JONESVILLE — Services for Billy Wayne Spann, 55, of Jonesville, who died Thursday, May 26, 2016 at LSU Hospital in Shreveport, will be 2 p.m. today at Patton Baptist Church with the Rev. Juane McClure and the Rev. Bill Cotton officiating.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time today at the church.
Services are under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home in Alexandria, La.
Mr. Spann was born May 18, 1961, the son of Henry and Mildred Spann.
He was born and raised in Jonesville. Billy was married for 34 years to Beverly Coker Spann.
Billy did many things in his life. He was an ironworker and a turtle farmer, among other things, but his true passion has always been the water. He was a fisherman at heart and truly a special individual.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Henry Jeff Spann; parents in-law, Bill and Arlene Coker; and one sister in-law, Francis Wyles.
Survivors his wife; son, Henry Wayne Spann; other relatives, Howard Spann and wife, Kathy, Johnnie Spann and wife, Mary, Judy Cotton and husband, Mark, Hank Spann and wife, Sonja, and Sandra Spann; many nieces and nephews along with many great nieces and nephews; and special friends, James Davis, Neil “Paw-Paw” York, James “Duck” Cagle, Kernie King, Charlie Harris, Tony Tullos and many, many more.
