NATCHEZ — Services for retired Sgt. 1st Class Junior Williams, 66, of Natchez, who died Thursday, May 26, 2016, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Greater St. James Baptist Church with the Rev. Dandridge Brooks officiating. 

Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Williams was born July 4, 1949, in Natchez, the son of Emile Brown and Ellen Woods.

He was retired from the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Elizabeth Williams, Josephine Woods and Glenda Brown; and one brother, Jerry Lee Woods.

Survivors include two children, Felicia Williams Young and husband, Dr. Sherwood Young, and Eric Williams and wife, Micresha; four grandchildren, Nalicia Gore, Nyah Posey, Darius Williams and Kristonie Williams; nine sisters, Sadie McCraney and husband, Ed, Mary Lee Washington and husband, Eugene, Annie Dunmore and husband, Kerry, Betty Woods, Sandra Brown, Patricia Pernell and husband, Jerry, Pearl Lawrence, Gaynelle Brown and Valerie Brown; six brothers, Isaac Woods, Jimmy Woods, Lawrence Brown and wife, Gwen, Carl Brown, Tommy Brown and husband, Merlin, and Anthony Brown; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
