FERRIDAY — Services for Geneva Campbell, 83, of Ferriday, who died Sunday, May 29, 2016, at Merit Health-Natchez, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in The George F. West Sr. Memorial Chapel at West Gate Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Elery officiating.

Burial will follow in the Lake St. John Cemetery in Ferriday under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the the funeral home.

Mrs. Campbell was born Dec. 7, 1931, in Ferriday, the daughter of Joseph Newbill and Pearline Spears.

She was educated in area schools. She was retired and was a Baptist. She enjoyed sewing and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Annie Price; and one cousin, Alfreddie Ward.

Survivors include eight sons, Adell Campbell and wife, Rudona, of Portland, Larry Campbell and wife, Ceola, Rufus Newbill and wife, Rosetta, Lester Newbill and wife, Patricia, Darron Newbill and wife, Mealissa, all of Bloomington, Lincoln Newbill and wife, Sonya, and Henry Newbill of Ferriday, and Larnell Campbell of New Orleans; one daughter, Eloise Newbill of Bloomington; and a number of other relatives and friends.
