FERRIDAY — Services for Kathy Blount, 55, of Vidalia, who died Sunday, June 5, 2016, will be noon Wednesday at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday with the Rev. Jerry Sharp officiating. 

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Ms. Blount was born Nov. 24, 1960, in Natchez, the daughter of Fredrick Joseph Tyson and Gloria James Parker.

She was employed as a legal secretary.

She was preceded in death by her mother and grandparents, Edgar and Nell James and Lottie Mae Tyson and Oliver L. Tyson Sr.

Survivors include her father; two sons, Jonathan Dodson and wife, Alicia, and Kyle Dodson and wife, Jennifer; one daughter, Ashley Blount Schulte and husband, Matt; eight grandchildren, Mathew, Maddox and Madison Schulte, Phoenix Floyd, Conlan Hughes, Taylor and Mckayla Fitt and Isabella Dodson; one brother, David Neal Burley; and two sisters, Donna Tyson Walker and husband, Reggie, and Rene Burley Robinson and husband, Robert.

Pallbearers will be Robert Robinson, Berry Sharp, Jay Boyd and Everett Holloway.
