METAIRIE, La. — Memorial services for Conway Byrd Fornerette, 88, of Metairie, La., who died Sunday, June 5, 2016, will be 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Parkview Baptist Church, 6301 Camphor St., in Metairie.  

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until service time Thursday at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Church Funeral Services and Crematory in Metairie.

Mr. Fornerette was retired from Amtrak with 52 years of service. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Tennie Fornerette.

Survivors include his loving wife, Grace Cooley Fornerette; two daughters, Dawn Fornerette Hagmann and husband, George, and Michelle Fornerette Blue and husband, Thomas; one son, Michael Ward Fornerette and wife, Selena; five grandchildren, Corey Blue and wife, Yajaira, Caden Blue, Lily Fornerette, Cooper Fornerette and Brittany Hagmann Marino and husband, Jay; and one great-grandchild, Colton Blue.
