NATCHEZ — Willie R. Smith, 88, of Vidalia, died Sunday, June 12, 2016.

Arrangements are under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

The family will commemorate his death in private and a public memorial will be announced at a later date.

Survivors include his wife, Kitty; one son, Bob Smith and wife, Becky, of Duluth, Ga.; one granddaughter, Leslie Smith of New York City; and a number of loved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
