NATCHEZ — Services for JaDarius “Jay Jay” Davis, 22, of Natchez, who died Thursday, June 23, 2016, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Hill Baptist Church No. 1 with the Rev. Joe W. Pickett officiating.   07:01 JadariusDavis obitpic

Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Davis was born Sept. 22, 1993, in Natchez, the son of Harry and Wanda Martin and Darin McCoy.

He was a 2013 graduate of Natchez High School and attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Natchez. He accepted Christ June 10, 2005, at Zion Hill Baptist Church No. 1 and served as a member of the youth usher ministry under the leadership of the Rev. Pickett.

JaDarius was employed by M&M Behavioral Health Center in Delhi, La.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joseph McCoy.

Survivors include his parents; one sister, Haylee Martin; grandparents, Willie and Carrie Davis and Flora McCoy; great-grandmother, Irene Bacon, all of Natchez; four aunts, Dr. Tina Bruce and husband, Nugene, and Nakeysha Watkins, all of Natchez, Felicia Davis-Modicue and husband, Ronald, of Monroe, La., and Danielle Watkins of Minneapolis, Minn.; two uncles, Willie “Sonny” Bacon and wife, Pamela, and William McKeel and wife, Connie, all of Natchez; special cousins, Marceis Davis of Monroe, Jeremiah Woods and Carlos Woods of Natchez; special friends, Ashley Scott, Derek Profice, Wayne Lyles, Travian Herrington and the T.R.U.B.L.E. Racers, all of Natchez; and a number of great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
