FAYETTE — Services for Anna Ree Hill Carter-Synder, 69, of Fayette, who died Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 11 a.m. today at Greater Faith Worship Center in Fayette with the Rev. Bryant Herbert officiating.
Burial will follow at Fountain Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mrs. Snyder was born May 10, 1947, in Natchez, the daughter of Marshall Jenkins and Estella Coleman Hill.
She was a member of Fayette First New Life Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was baptized at an early age at Pine Grove United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Snyder was a lifelong educator.
She was preceded in death by her mother; grandparents, Brad and Vinnie Coleman; one sister, Beverly Coleman; one brother, Julies E. Upton Sr.; five aunts, Viola Coleman, Doretha Coleman, Sara Coleman, Lillie Coleman and Mary Ellis; and two uncles, Jimmy Coleman and Henry Coleman.
Survivors include her loving husband, James “June” Snyder; four daughters, Tamika Carter, Tiffany Carter, Felica Carter Kaho and husband, Craig, and Chastity Coleman and husband, Dejovan; two sons, William Carter and wife, Sara, and Jacob Snyder and wife, Courtney; seven brothers, James Conway Sr. and wife, Doris, Clarence Hill Jr. and wife, Rosie, Tommie L. Hill Sr. and wife, Cynthia, Dalton Hill and wife, Angie, Louis Hill and wife, Terri, Kenneth Coleman and wife, Tanya, and Madrid “Major” Anderson; two special cousins, Mary “Honey Do” Hutcherson and Robert Anderson; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
