NATCHEZ – Services for Katie Ruth Thomas Anderson, 76, of Natchez, who died Friday, July 1, 2016, at Merit Health Natchez, will be noon Saturday at St. Mary Baptist Church with the Rev. LeRoy White officiating.

Burial will follow at St. Mary Memorial Garden under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Anderson was the daughter of Richard Gooseberry and Mary Hart.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter; and four sisters and brothers.

Survivors include one daughter, Grace Minor and husband, John, of Natchez; one son, Gabe Proby and wife, Sharon, of Marietta, Ga.; a grandson she raised as her own, Tremaine Proby, as well as eight other grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, Sylvia Washington of Natchez; and a number of nieces and nephews.
