LAKE CHARLES — The Vidalia Little League Softball All-Stars punched a ticket to the Regional tournament in Los Alamos, N.M. with a 2-1 win against Lake Charles.

Shelbi Mason pitched a complete game, allowing five hits, tallying five strikeouts and not earned runs.

“We’re very excited,” coach Leigh Mason said. “Seven girls on the team went last year so we know what to expect.”

Shelbi was 2-2 with two doubles and Savanna Spear was 1-2 with and RBI.

The Little League Southwest Regional Tournament is set to start July 23.
