WEST MONROE, La. — Memorial services for Bobby Ray Martin, 74, of West Monroe, will be 3 p.m. today in the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe,, with the Rev. Greg Clark and the Rev. Don Privett officiating.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. until time of services today at the funeral home.
Mr. Martin was raised in Newellton. He served in the U.S. Army and was a retired offshore toolpusher. He was a member of Cedar Crest Baptist Church and a former member of Ferriday First Baptist Church. Bobby was an avid golfer and former member of Panola Woods Country Club, as well as LaSalle Golf Country Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Lena Martin; father and mother-in-law , LeRoy and Lorene Campbell; brothers, Teddy and Leymoine Martin; sisters, Lesterea Massey, Dimple Flowers and Pauline Redd.
Survivors include his wife and the love of his life for 40 years, whom he married on March 9, 1976, Susan Campbell Martin; daughter, Jennifer Martin Phillips and husband Trey; grandsons, Martin Gage Breithaupt and Paul Mason Phillips; granddaughters, Abbi Grace Breithaupt and Preslea Claire Phillips; and a number of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Bobby’s honor to Cedar Crest Baptist Church or First Baptist Church of Ferriday, LA.
