SHREVEPORT, La. — The Concordia Parish 13-year-old All Stars came away from the first day of their district tournament 2-0.
Concordia won Game 1 against 7-6 and won Game 2 against Monroe 11-1.
Concordia won Game 1 off a walk-off double from Cade Eidt, after squandering a 6-1 lead earlier in the game. Terrence Charles caught fire, 7-for-7 on the day with two doubles and a home run in both games.
“In the second game the bats really came alive,” coach Matthew Freeman said.
Concordia moves on to play the winner of Bossier City and Jefferson Parish at 2 p.m. today. A win advances them a bye into Monday in the winners bracket, a loss forces a second game this afternoon.
