ALEXANDRIA — The Ferriday Gators took care of business by sweeping a double header Saturday.

Ferriday won Game 1 over Pine Prairie 10-9. The Gators’ 10 runs came on 17 hits and pitchers Brianna Henson and Bailey Book combined to allow nine runs on six hits with the defense committing five errors.

Ferriday won Game 2 over Northwest Lasalle 11-1 in six inngings.

Jania Burns started the game and Cassie Gonzales closed out the final three innings.

Henson was 4-for-10 on the day including two home runs in Game 2. Emily Waltman 6-for-8, including a 4-4 performance in Game 2.

Ferriday plays Madisonville today at 8 p.m.
