JONESBORO, La. — The Vidalia Little League 7- and 8-year-old All-Star team captured a commanding win over Blanchard 33-0 Friday night.

Vidalia hitters launched five homers, five triples and three doubles.

Natalie Webb and Laken Thompson both had a home run and a triple. Macee Green, Mia Drane and Ava Walker homered and Sarah Merrill and Hannah Hargon tripled.

“They hit better than they had all year long,” coach Josh Hargon said. “I’ve watched during league ball but they’re hitting well right now.”

Vidalia will play the winner of Jackson Parish and Bossier City at 8 p.m. in the semifinals today.
