DeRIDDER, La. — The Dixie Youth Vidalia Pre-Majors All-Stars team rallied for 18 combined runs in the fourth and fifth innings en route to a 19-2 blowout win over Winnsboro.

Shavoké Herrington led the Purple Sox with three hits and five RBIs, while Brock Farmer limited Winnsboro to two runs over four strong innings and striking out six batters.

The all-stars from Concordia rolled to a second win 15-4 in Game 2 against DeRidder. Christian and Josh Day combined to strike out seven batters in 4.1 innings. Herrington tallied four hits and drove in two runs.

The Purple Sox advance to play at 4:40 p.m. today.
