The Concordia 13-year-old All-Stars combined to pound out four doubles but it wasn’t enough as it fell in the championship round to Bossier 19-9 in the Dixie Youth State Tournament.
Terrance Charles, Dylan Laprairie, Peyton Fort and Tripp Cotton each recorded one double in the game.
The all-stars finished 3-2 in the state tournament after winning the district title approximately two weeks ago.
“I knew I had a pretty good group of guys, but my expectations weren’t state runner-up,” Concordia coach Matthew Freeman. “I knew there would be a very good competition, but the guys just all clicked. I feel they played well above expectations.”
