FERRIDAY — Services for Pete “Buck” Morales Jr., 83, who died Saturday, July 23, 2016, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, La., will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Harvest Baptist Church in Ferriday.

Burial will follow at the Vidalia City Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Greater St. Reed Fellowship Church in Ferriday.

Mr. Morales was born Feb. 25, 1933, in Wildsville, La., the son of Pete and Rosanna Collins Morales.

He was a farm equipment mechanic.

Mr. Morales was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Larry Morales; two brothers, Bob Morales and Herman Morales; and three sisters, Ruby Morales, Beatrice Morales and Betty Spencer.

Survivors include his wife, Glinda Thomas Morales; four sons, Juan Mason and wife, Juliet, Roosevelt Morales and wife, Bobbie, Alton Morales Sr. and wife, Gloria, all of Waterproof, and Kedrick Morales of Ferriday; four daughters, Sharon Wilcox of Charlotte, N.C., Belinda Chatman and husband, Calvin, Valerie Thomas and Beulah Mason, all of Ferriday; one daughter-in-law, Louvenia Morales of Vidalia; two brothers, Lucky Morales of Ferriday and Johnny Morales of Vidalia; one sister, Eliza M. Williams and husband, Robert, of St. Joseph; one sister-in-law, Jonteel Morales of Ferriday; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
