VIDALIA — A 23-year-old Vidalia man was arrested Thursday on charges of carnal knowledge of a juvenile.

Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Cody A. Toney, listed with a Cedar Street address with no number, at a residence on Azalea Street in Vidalia and later booked, said spokesman Vernon Stevens.

Stevens said deputies obtained a warrant for Toney’s arrest based on a complaint filed by the mother of a female juvenile.

Stevens would not release more information on the alleged crime.

Toney was transferred to the Concordia Correctional facility on Louisiana 15 and was in jail Friday pending a bond hearing by the district judge.
