MEADVILLE — Services for Prentice E. “Bill” Cochran Jr., 61, of Natchez, who died Monday, Aug. 8, 2016, at his residence, will be 9 a.m. Wednesday at Meadville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Milton Watley officiating.
Graveside services will be Thursday at Christie’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Magnolia, Ark., under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Meadville and from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.
Mr. Cochran was born Dec. 5, 1954, in Magnolia, the son of Prentice “Bill” Cochran Sr. and Leola Travis Cochran.
He was employed by W.T. Drilling Company as a tool pusher.
Mr. Cochran was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Ruthie Manning Cochran; one son, James Ben Cochran and wife, Jessica, of Vidalia; two daughters, Lacy Marino and husband, Kevin, of Petal and Ashley Hammack and husband, Casey, of Meadville; one brother, James “Buddy” Cochran and wife, Peggie, of Natchez; two sisters, Sue Taylor and husband, Terry, and Glenda Morris and husband, William, all of Magnolia; five grandchildren, Toni Marino, Kam Marino, Harleigh Hammack, Alli Reese Arthur and Cela Ponder; and a number of family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Casey Hammack, Ray Blout, John Wayne Harvard, Colt Hensley, Lance Hall and Raymond “Tadpole” Tyson.
Honorary pallbearers will be David New Jr., Leo Joseph, Jerry Bailey and Wayne Johnson.
The family extends a very special thank you to Ray Blout for the many hours of dedicated and faithful service.
The family request donations be made to the American Cancer Society or Batson Children’s Hospital in Jackson.
