NATCHEZ — Services for Tula Mae Latham, 87, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Aug. 7, 2016, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Cliff Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Russell Wagoner officiating.
Burial will follow at Jersey Settlers Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday, both at the church.
Mrs. Latham was born April 5, 1929, in Hasse, Texas, the daughter of James A. Grumbles and Jettie Bell Goddard Grumbles.
She married James R. “Jack” Latham, Aug. 5, 1946, in Hobbs, N.M.
Mrs. Latham was a homemaker and a member of Cliff Temple Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one great-granddaughter, Kylee Marie Latham.
Survivors include five children, James Ervin Latham, Weldon L. Latham, Shirley M. Latham, George W. Latham and wife, Robin, and Mary L. Latham Evans; 10 grandchildren, Sandra Kaye Latham, James E. Latham, Shane Latham, Greg Latham, April Latham, Christina Latham, Lee Latham, David Evans, Mike Evans and Savannah Evans; 23 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; four brothers, Bill Grumbles, John Grumbles, James Boyd Grumbles and Gene Grumbles; three sisters, Melba Spivey, Ruby Roberts and Betty June Grumbles; and loving friends and family, Patricia Yates, Debra Blackwell, Rick Ross, Olivia Jeter, Shawn Coon and Josh Smith.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
